best friends-black labrador dogs bailey and winston

Bailey (my black labrador) and winston have grown up together, and have played together since they were tiny pups! this sunday i promised winstons mum i would photograph their morning walk around the big waters nature reserve in northumberland. I new it wouldn’t be an easy task as when these two are together they are in their own little world! so rather than try and pose them we just let them play and i would photograph them in action. i think i did a pretty good job of capturing their fun. heres a few of my favourite pictures of them at play.

Miss sunday Sun-Amy elliot

Amy came to us for a portfolio after winning miss sunday sun 2008. one of the north easts long running model competitions, which gives the girls great exposure by being published in the sunday sun news paper. We spent the day with Amy shooting  a variety of locations and studio images to make her a wonderful model  portfolio to get her started in the  world of modelling. Amy has a great attitude and is very personable, we wish her the best of luck with her modelling.

North east model – Stef Eddy- contestant on britains next top model

Recently Stefanie was scouted whilst on a shopping trip at Gateshead’s metro centre and was asked if she would like to be on sky TV’s hit show britains next top model. this is a huge break for stefanie and we wish her all the luck in the world and will be watching her do her thing with britains up and coming modeling talent. lets hope she fly’s the flag for north east models. heres the link to the story

jesmond dene house -gillian & davids wedding 10th april 2009

Gillian & David were married at jesmond dene house just outside of newcastle, on good friday this year. again a very relaxed day and a wonderful couple, providing us and their guests with some great moments, especially during the exchange of the rings when David put his right hand out and gillian lovingly slipped his ring on the wrong hand!! fun moments like these are what make lasting memories, and im just glad we were there to capture it forever on camera.

Fiona & Iains wedding ~ Ford castle Northumberland 28th march 2009

Ford castle is definitely one of my favorite castles in Northumberland and a unique venue for a wedding! needless to say i was once again excited when Fiona and Iain commissioned us to cover their wonderful day. And it was a great day to, a very relaxed and fun couple who were a pleasure to photograph, and in such a fab location with “acceptable” weather, we were able to capture the love, emotions, tears and happiness as it unfolded.

I thought I would post a few more of the documentary images, as over the past year or so my style has been leaning more towards this type of image, of course I will always shoot the romantic couple images, as apart from being an integral part of my photography, its also the most fun part of my day!

north east model portfolio- tracy

tracy came to us to get some images updated for her webpage with AM-Models

she was a pleasure to work with and made my job easy, she’s a natural in front of the camera, i hope she goes on to have successful career in modelling. All the shots were taken in our Bedlington (Northumberland) studio within a matter of hours! all in all I think we gave Tracy a great set of images to enhance her portfolio.

Well its been a busy summer shooting model portfolios for some of the north east’s up and coming faces, so ive selected a few of my favourites for you to see!

most of the models here have now been signed to AM-models and are gaining work in newcastle and the surrounding areas of north east england.

ive often walked around my local tesco’s and noticed a new model i have worked with on a front cover of a magazine,( usually local to the north east area) ! or in the local newspapers, its nice to no they are succeeding in their modelling careers.

Lucy& lee wedding – Alnwick Castle 18th october 2008

well i had been looking foward to this one all year, as i had never shot at Alnwick castle before. so i prayed for good weather ( and i bet lucy did too!) and we got it. Alnwick Castle is a fantastic location for wedding photography, and shooting such a lovely couple helps LOL! Lucy certainly had her smiley face on today! the day went perfectly and i thank Lucy & Lee for allowing us to capture your day.

So Busy!!!

Well its been a very busy autumn! and i just haven’t had time to update my blog. so hopefully now the 2008 wedding season has come to and end for us i will get a chance to start uploading some of this summers weddings. Again its been fantastic being a part of all our bride & grooms special day and again we will take away some great memories and some not so great!! particularly the wedding of Jen & David who picked the one day with the worst recorded rainfall in the town of Morpeth (thousands evacuated due to flooding)to get married. unfortunately Jen & david were stuck between the church and the venue (longhirst hall) for over 4 hours! but we all waited it out gave them 20 mins to get cleaned up and carried on with the photo’s, what a great couple!!

Anyway over the next few weeks i should be getting back to normal with my regular posts, and have a stack of weddings and commercial model portfolios from around the north east to share,
